News: ARISF President: ‘The Role of the Multisport Association in the development of the Olympic Movement in Russia is priceless’  The international convention Sport Accord in which Russian delegation is taking part is still going on in Seoul. During the meeting with Alexey Kylasov the president of the Association of Recognized IOC International Sports Federations Jan Fransoo noticed, ‘I am glad that the Multisport Association does a lot for the development of the Olympic Movement in Russia. I hope that you will continue this way’.
At the same time Alexey Kylasov was perplexed that the presidents of two Russian federations – the chess federation (Kirsan Ilyumzhinov) and the bandy federation (Boris Skrynnik)- had not arrived at the conference. “It is a great pity that these people have ignored such a meaningful event in the world of sport which could have been useful not only for themselves but also for the development of the sports”.
