News: AMSR secretary general Alexey Kylasov report on the work at Sport-Accord  In the period from 3 to 7 April the fourth international convention Sport-Accord was held in Seoul (South Korea). For the first time the representatives from Russia were so numerous. Here is the list of organizations and representatives:
- Russian Olympic Committee – president Leonid Tyagachyov, the first vice-president – Viktor Hotochkin, secretary general - Yuri Yuryev, the honorary president and the IOC member Vitaly Smirnov;
- application committee “Sochi - 2014” – director general Dmitriy Chernyshenko, executive director – Dmitry Svatkovsky, director for contacts with sportsmen Svetlana Zhurova;
- International Federation of Amateur Sambo (FIAS) – president David Rudman, vice-president Sergey Eliseev, executive director Nikolay Lents;
- Multisport Association of Russia – secretary general Alexey Kylasov;
- TV-Channel “Sport-RTR” – editor-in-chief Vasily Kiknadze;
- Sport marketing agency “Sportima” – director general Viktoria Voskanyan.
The representatives of Russia did not make one delegation and were acting in separate groups. The first group looked like as follows: Russian Olympic Committee interacted only with the application committee “Sochi-2014”, which in its turn participated in opening of “Sport-RTR” stand. As the director general Dmitry Chernyshenko is one of the stockholders of the sport marketing agency “Sportima”, the two organizations acted in cooperation.
Another group consisted of the representatives of AMSR and FIAS due to the fact that Sergey Eliseev, the vice-president of AMSR and FIAS appeared the organizer of the joint actions. The contacts which have been earlier established by Alexey Kylasov, were involved in settling the conflict between FILA and FIAS in the necessary direction.
The atmosphere of mutual understanding prevailed at in the commission of the GAISF members representing combat sports, because the FIAS delegation had been introduced to the representatives of the international federations at the ARISF and IWGA sessions that had been held before the GAISF meeting.
In the course of the convention Sport-Accord the crisis was overcome and there was set a question about returning sambo into the World Games program. The first consultations on the question were held and the working plan of sambo recognition by the IOC was worked out. Besides, the vice-president of the FIAS and the AMSR Sergey Eliseev suggested that Russian experience of establishing the Union of Martial Arts should be used in this connection. He also offered holding the first Martial Arts Games in one of Russian cities.
All the ARISF and IWGA members unanimously supported the plans, aims and tasks of the AMSR which had been announced at the annual sessions of these organizations. The meetings with all the presidents of the international federations, belonging to ARISF and IWGA, were conducted and the leaders of these establishments were involved in the work concerning organizing of the partner program and the patronage of the AMSR arrangements.
The next, anniversary, international convention Sport-Accord will take place in Beijing (China) in the period from 23 to 27 April 2007. According to the opinion of the AMSR and FIAS representatives, in order to carry out plans of Russian sport organizations on the international level during the preparation for the next conference in order to carry out plans of Russian sport organizations on the international level it is necessary to establish a coordination council. The council would allow representatives of Russia to agree on joint vote, defending their positions and mutual support of their initiatives.
For instance, for sambo gain the IOC recognition, FIAS needs the votes of the IOC members, the same votes are necessary for the application committee “Sochi-2014”. Besides, Russian representatives in the international sport organization have the right to pass voting mandates in the case of the absence at Sport Accord in order to avoid situation similar to the one that occurred at Sport Accord this year when there were not necessary votes.
This time the representatives of the following organizations members of the GAISF having as their Heads Russian citizens were absent:
- the president of Federation of International Bandy (FIB) Boris Skrynnik
- the president of the World Draughts Federation (FMJD) Vladimir Ptitsyn
- the president of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) Kirsan Ilyumzhinov
