News: “Sport Russia” and the Multisport Association of Russia signed the agreement on cooperation

Today Russian public organization “Sport Russia” and Association of All-Russia Public Organizations of sports federations recognized IOC and other sports, not included in the Olympic Games program, Multisport Association of Russia, have signed the Agreement on cooperation.

The head of the central council of “Sport Russia” Irina Rodnina and the AMSR president Yuri Rodionov identified the main points of cooperation in the mass sport development and forming of the national teams in sports not included in the Olympic Games program. The executive director of “Sport Russia” Oleg Gadyuchkin, the first vice-president of the AMSR Alexander Kuznetsov and the secretary general Alexey Kylasov were present at the meeting.

Both parts noted that many sports that are united by the association, do not require building any special constructions and use reasonably priced equipment, and consequently, have good perspectives for mass sport development. Besides, extreme sports are very popular with young people. According to Irina Rodnina’s opinion, these two facts are of particular importance because they allow developing children sport.

The project Russian Games Open, earlier announce by the MAR, gained the support of “Sport Russia” and already on August, 26-27 in Tushino (Moscow) the first contest will be held with the support of Rossport.. This year it will be the competitions in extreme sports – Adrenaline Games Open, and in future the competitions will be regularly alternated. Alexey Kylasov says that the IWGA leaders are expected to arrive at the Games. This agreement was reached in April in the course of presentation the project at the international convention Sport-Accord in Seoul (South Korea).
